Cut from 100% cotton 320 gsm screen-printed stonewashed Take One 2025 sweatpants, this piece is transformed by hand into a waistband skirt with a raw back hem. Each garment carries visible evidence of the designer’s process, including hand stitching and hand-applied details, making every piece one-of-one.
The Take One capsule examines the many faces of anxiety—the silent battles, restless nights, and false promises of prescription pills that poison under the guise of cure. It reflects on how gambling with life and family can spiral into quiet destruction, while critiquing how media and corporate messaging normalize cycles of dependency. Inspired by the bold energy of the Futurist movement, the designer transfers these images as permanent marks, turning each garment into a wearable statement of resistance.
